Hey Hon,
I watched the videos and they brought back a lot of memories; most bittersweet! I always cry during Alfie (still) and I always enjoy the light shows on the house to the Trans Siberian Orchestra. Did I tell you there was a row home on Perkiomen Avenue that lights outside set to music? I forgot…
No one sings the Christmas Song better than Nat King Cole; there is a reason his parents gave him the middle name of King. And the refrain “war is over” from “So This is Christmas” reminds me that we always seem to be in and at war; now, two simultaneously! We must all be politically savy and involved so that we can finally and forever end the slaughter of innocents in such a brutal, and needless fashion.
I noticed that in the first video “When the River Meets the Sea” that the final shot looks like horseshoe bend around the Schuylkill. Check it out. And how exactly is that a Christmas song? John Denver met his final peace in the sea! Strange and coincidental? I think not…

Ha! Jay’s rule of thumb was that no matter how much planning you do, any plumbing job will require a minimum of three trips to the hardware store.

On the roots, wait and see if new shoots come up. If they do, hit them with Roundup while they’re growing. That will kill the roots and you won’t have to dig them out.

(Note: Do it while Heather isn’t looking. She will immediately cringe at the idea of “poison”, but of all the possibilities, Roundup is the least harmful. It breaks down rapidly. If you do attempt to dig out the roots without killing them first, any tiny bits left alive in the ground could regenerate.)

I vote for the bathroom. With tub. Deep one. House warming gift.

Kidd traveled extensively in the area of Comoros and was certainly active as a privateer at that time. It is a likely spot to have been visited, but it is unlikely that he buried any treasure. More likely, pirates did what pirates do to other pirates and acquired some of the property by means other than digging up treasure. Regardless, I can say that there was no established capital on the island during Kidd’s time. The name Moroni seems to refer to the volcano on the island. Also, early Portuguese maps refer to the island as “Camora” which sounds a good deal like Cumorah referenced by Smith. It’s all very interesting stuff. Good luck in your fact hunting!

I have mormon missionaries visiting my home and I am trying to link the gold plates that Joseph Smith Jr found to just a part of Captain Kidds treasure.Captain Kidd sailed to an island called Comoros and the capital of the island is Moroni that was the name of the angel that he said gave him the plates.Just would like some imput on the subject.
